What are requirements for applying passport for emergency cases?

Requests For Earlier Accommodation

Waiving of the passport appointment system is reserved for emergency cases only. These cases include the following:

1. Employment;
2. Medical emergency involving the applicant or his/her family member;
3. Death of a family member/immediate relative;
4. Senior citizens;
5. Infants (1 year old and below) and;
6. Persons with disabilities.

Note: Applicants with emergency case may go directly to the Office of the Passport Director and bring necessary documents listed below.

List of Additional Documents to be Submitted by Applicant to be considered for Earlier Accommodation/ Proof of Urgency

a. Employment

• Original valid contract or Certified True Copy of employment contract and/or Job Order.***
• Overseas Exit Clearance (OEC) from POEA.
• Confirmed plane ticket/ flight details.
  • Note: Presentation of plane ticket/ flight details and application for visa does not guarantee approval of request.
• Request letter from employer overseas.
• Itinerary of Travel

          * Additional supporting documents may be required if necessary.

b. Medical Emergency

• Most recent medical certificate/ laboratory results.***
• Confirmed plane ticket/ flight details.
• Letter of request.

          * Additional supporting documents may be required if necessary.

c. Death of an Immediate Family Member

• Certificate of Death***
• Letter of request.

          * Additional supporting documents may be required if necessary.

d. Persons with Disabilities

• Medical certificate.***
• Letter of request.

          * Additional supporting documents may be required if necessary.

e. Infants (below 1 year old)/ Senior Citizens

• No additional documents are necessary. Just bring passport application and requirements.

     ---A special lane (Senior Citizen's lane) is allocated for these appllicants. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Office of Consular Affairs, ASEANA Building.
