Going there
The fastest way going to Simara is take a flight from Manila to Tablas via Philippines Airline 3 times a week. From the airport in Tagdan take a van, travelling time is about 1 hour to the northern town of Calatrava and from there take a 2 hour boat to Simara.
Alternative route is take a ferry from Batangas Pier going to Odiongan to Calatrava, travel time is 2 hours then from Calatrava take a boat going to Sibale and another 2 hours. Another way is take a ferry from Batangas Pier to Calapan 2 hours and a van from Calapan to Pinamalayan 1 hour. Then a boat from Pinamalayan to Simara 3 hours, every Saturday and Sunday only at 8 a.m .Every Tuesday M/B Richard IV sails directly from Batangas to Simara 8 hours travel time.
